Store food and water for emergencies
Proper food and water storage can assist
families in case of a disaster. When a disaster strikes it may be
impossible to obtain food and water, even at the supermarket. Therefore it
is important to have adequate food storage and water available in case of
a disaster.
What to store and how much is a question.
Diets are diverse for individuals. U.S. health organizations recommend
eating five servings of fruit and vegetables a day. The Japanese try to eat 30 different kinds of food each
day. You and your family have certain foods you'd like to eat and have on
hand.
So with all the diversity in tastes and
situations, here are some sites you can check with information on what to
store and how to store it so you can come up with your own plan.

I would recommend food and supplies for
various lengths of times. The first goal should be two weeks.
Then three to six months for
family. Then even longer if possible. Buy foods you like that store
well, vitamins, bottled water. Buy a little each week.
Dehydrate and can your own food. Remember to store food, treats, and
supplies for your pets. A
first aid kit is also something you should have on hand.
Food and water are things you should always
have on hand. You never know when you will need them.
Catastrophes come about suddenly. By the time you find out about
them on the news it will be too late. Be prepared today.
